We should consider eating more Seafood anyway because of the healthy properties available in Seafood. Of course, even with Seafood these days, we need to be very careful as well because of the high demand. There are often more negative components popping up, and thank God we can recognise and, most of the time, detect them before buying or consuming them.
Therefore, I always recommend reading the labels or asking the Seafood sellers where the fish or Seafood comes from and where it was imported because other countries have different guidelines. Unfortunately, it is not really officially required to be labelled as such because the consumer doesn't pay close attention anyway.
Even in Restaurants, it often happens that different fish filets or even whole fish get labelled or sold wrong just in order to gain some more profits. I'm always asking the Waiter where this product is coming from, what is essential, from where, how it is cooked, whether you are sure it's a fresh product, or even, could you ask the Chef, please? Always be careful with raw Seafood dishes like, Carpaccio, Tartar, Crudos, Chevice even Sushi or Sashimi, unfortunately not all of the restaurants are handling and preparing or paying attention to safety food handling information or instructions.
For safe consumption, I recommend wild, coldwater seafood and sustainable seafood; if farm-raised seafood is farm-raised, make sure it's labeled without antibiotics or growing hormones and is non-GMO!
I would not like to go into any details because many of you will avoid many more ingredients! But in today's world, we need to be cautious about what we consume in order to stay healthy and have a great life.
I will share a beneficial app with you all. Please download it on your phone and scan it as much as possible before buying! It's called "Yuka." It is free and very helpful. I'm sure lots of people already use it daily; if not, please do so. You'll be happy about it and become a better and healthier consumer!
Bad ingredients to make sure they do not end up in our bodies are Additives, risky Additives, too much Sodium, too much Sugar, Saturated fats, Food colouring, MSG, etc. I have been using just Himalayan Sea salt for over 23 years. Many times, I tried to bring it to attention at different meetings with Food riders or Food critics, but they were not interested in writing about it or bringing it to the consumer's attention. Anyway, industrial sugar and salt are not suitable for a healthy diet!
