Autumn in the village, especially in northern Italy, is always something we long to explore and learn more about. Just a glance at this scenic, picturesque region makes you think about food, wine, and travel. It’s not always easy to break away and visit our dream destinations, so I do my best to share my travel experiences with my customers and friends.

This time of year in northern Italy, everything centers around black and white truffles and wild mushrooms like porcini and chanterelles. In Piedmont, especially in Alba and the surrounding areas, this is truly truffle and mushroom heaven.
Just eight days ago, I was still in Ascea, Italy, on the Amalfi Coast, cooking and entertaining 150 people daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at one of the premier Acanfora Hotels & Resorts.
